About Me!
Ruby is our sweetest pony and earned title of being horse of the year by the American Hippotherapy Association for the year 2015. Ruby is our sweet old girl and absolutely loves kids. She found her job when she came to us. Ruby goes by many nicknames other than "Ruby." Some of these include Rue and Rue-Bear. She may be a pony, but don't be too hasty to judge her size before her personality. Ruby's heart goes out to all, but only a few have truly captured her heart. She is the first horse many kids ride and is the first horse kids fall in love with. When Ruby is not working, she spends her time keeping a watchful eye on Armani, bossing the other horses around, louging about, and eating hay.

About Me!
Fuzzy passed away this past year (2017) and will be terribly missed. It was a hard decision for her owner, but it was the best as her condition worsened. Needless to say, Fuzzy is in a better place and looking down on her other pony friends; she seemed to have passed on her calm demeanor and care to Armani, as now he embodies his beloved friend.
Fuzzy girl was one of our favorite horses among the others. She had the spunk of a young filly, yet when work came her way, she set her mind to getting her job done; her work ethic is incredible. When kids first met her, they were not sure what to think, because she is quite a big girl, yet they quickly find out that the way to this horse's heart is by scratches, snuggles, and grooming.  She made faces and shows her personality - which can be from running around the field to falling asleep while her feet were being picked out; she picked up the repuation for being a "narcoleptic pony." When Fuzzy was not working, she spent her time running the herd and eating. Her and Armani were the two bosses in the pasture, as well as extremely close, and she made sure everyone knews she is boss.

GDT Armani
 AKA: ARMANI
Quick Facts:
- Date of Birth: March 20, 2002
- Gender: Gelding (Male)
- Height: 15 hh
- Breed: Morgan
- Color: Bay
- Markings: Stripe, corronet, pastern

About Me!
Armani is one of our horses that offers more able-bodied riders a challenge, yet when kids are on his back, he knows how to behave and calm himself. He's a high-functioning gelding who in his past life, won many shows and sired a couple of protegies. He has since come down from his fiery-personality, however he still presents himself as a stallion, showing off and making it known he's a pretty boy. Armani is a sweetheart and loves being groomed, given treats, stretching, and cuddling. He is sensitive to his rider and makes sure safety is the #1 goal being achieved, however, he won't back down if his rider wants to go fast (trot), with his high-steps and arched head, he shows his stuff and how he too, likes to go faster, yet maintains a smooth gait. When Armani is not working, he spents his time hanging with his girl, Ruby, and when he can, his buddy Sandy. He also enjoys lounging about and eating his grain.

- Date of Birth: Approx. 1996
- Gender: Gelding (Male)
- Height: 15.3 hh
- Breed: Quarter Horse
- Color: Chestnut Paint

About Me!
Blue is in his early 20's, but doesn't act like it. He is sweet and kind; everyone finds hims easy to around due to his gentle nature. He is unique in his coloring, as he as one blue eye and one blue/brown eye, and half of his mane is colored and half is not. Blue does not know the other horses used in the hippotherapy program that well, as he lives at Timber Trails Equine Center in Troy, where we do our hippotherapy sessions. Blue not only is a star in the hippotherapy program as he is larger and able to easily accomidate olders kids in the program, but he also has fantastic ground manners. This enables him to participate in PT sessions with clients on the ground, where they execute obsticle courses, multiple-step motor sequences, read the horse's nonverbals, and/or build trust through equine-assisted learning activities.

Peach
Quick Facts:
- Date of Birth: 2010
- Gender: Mare (Female)
- Height: 14 hh
- Breed: Appaloosa
- Color: Varnish chestnut roan
- Markings:

About Me!
Peach is about 10 years old and completely blind. She spent 3 years at Gerda's Equine Rescue waiting to find her perfect home and a job. Peach is very talkative, trusting, and sweet. She, of course, loves it when people talk to her and getting a good scratch. She is wonderful with kids of all sizes and abilities, and is super tolerant of kids in every position they may be in during a hippotherapy session. She loves her buddies, particularly Armani. She and Ruby often bump heads, so she steers clear of Ruby as best as she can. She hasn't picked a favorite treat out, but knows after every session, a treat follows, and she will readily accept it with her nose sticking out looking for the bowl.

Mocha's CC Emerald War Chant
 AKA: CHANT
Quick Facts:
- Date of Birth: April 15, 2003
- Gender: Gelding (Male)
- Height: 33.50"
- Breed: Miniature Horse
- Color: Chestnut
- Markings: Blue eyes, blaze

About Me!
Chant is one of our miniatures that is used for our 4-H shows. With the miniature horses, it allows kids who are not able to ride the horses, a chance to work with and help with whatever goals need to be reached. Chant goes by a couple names, one being Chantley. He enjoys showing off and being around kids. Chant more than often will be spunky, but all of his little attutide is in good spirits. He enjoys showing in-hand and jumping. He loves cuddling, and will happily stand while being either rubbed, massaged, or scratched. When he is not working he spends his time walking around the pasture searching for food, he is hanging with his buddy Sully.

Leeside's Absolutely Remarkable
 AKA: SULLY
Quick Facts:
- Date of Birth: May 5, 2001
- Gender: Gelding (Male)
- Height: 29.50"
- Breed: Miniature Horse
- Color: Bay
- Markings: None

About Me!
Sully is the other miniature at our barn. Sully is just as spunky as Chant, if not more (the smaller the horse, the more attitude it seems to have). This does not change how much he enjoys working and getting attention. Sully, like all the horses, loves kids and the treats he gets from working. He has a good work ethic, but also enjoys the little things in between, particularly being groomed and scratched. Sully has shown in multiple shows, particularly 4-H, and prides himself in his stature. When he is not working, he spends his days with Chant, hanging around, swatting at the pesky flies, and searching for any leftover hay. If he cannot find any hay, he will try to see if he can stick his neck out far enough through the fence to get to the grass on the other side.
